The webmaster and his good lady are leaving the State of Tasmania on the Spirit of Tasmania Ferry on May 2nd and on arrival in Victoria venturing up along the Murray River and then into Renmark in South Australia. From there they will make their way to outback Marree which is located at the start of the Birdsville Track they will then link up with a few members of the Chapter plus Ian a past President and his wife Denise then proceed up the Birdsville Track as part of their Aussie Outback tour.
Needless to say rally happenings on the Island Wanderers web site will be temporarily suspended, though you are invited to read their diary of their adventures over the next four months. This will posted on Rally Happenings and all you need do is follow the link. It is requested that you be a little patient as you can well expect they will be out of touch with civilisation for weeks at a time thus will not have access to online centres etc to upload the latest happenings of their tour onto the web site, it will always be done as soon as pracitiable. When they reach Birdsville they are just going to set the sail and see where the wind will takes them, so to speak.
